Study Game Design

The Game Design course teaches you the conceptual, artistic and technical foundations of computer game development and deals with the implementation of games for different platforms such as PC, smartphones and virtual reality.

On a conceptual level, you will deal with the design and planning of game projects and game content. In the artistic field, you deal with the basics of visual design and the use of appropriate graphics software to develop figures or game environments as concept artists or to bring them to life as 2D or 3D artists. The technical area includes the basics of programming and IT, as well as the use of common game engines with which you can implement game ideas or other real-time applications.

From the second semester, you will deepen your knowledge in one of the two specializations "Game Art" or "Game Engineering". A special highlight of the course is the regular project work, in which you work in an interdisciplinary team and can build up an extensive portfolio for your successful application in the game industry.
