Required academic achievements:

In general, this study programme requires an equivalent to the German Abitur/Allgemeine Hochschulreife or Fachhochschulreife.

When to apply

You’re welcome to apply even if you haven‘t fully completed your final year at school. You can provide your final certificate once you have received it.

Personal requirements

Academic qualifications are certainly an important part of your application, but this is not the only factor we take into account when assessing your application. We look at your application very individually and offer places based on your potential to succeed on the course.
For this course we look at applicants that have strong communication skills, a basic but sound understanding of economics, English on a B2-level, being well organised with a high passion for games and/or new technologies. We love applicants that are enthusiastic and that consider themselves as problem solvers who are able to work independently as well as in teams.

A full application can be sent by email and should entail your main certificates, a CV with a photograph and a cover letter.

  • Campus Berlin: EUR 550,00 per month (EU) | EUR 685,00 (Non-EU) per month

Registration fee

For all study programmes we charge a one time registration fee of: EUR 490,00

So close to the real life – studying theories and business models that you will apply in authentic scenarios.

Theory and practice will go ahead hand in hand symbiotically within our Media Management (B.A.). With our partner ICON we have developped specific programme modules that couldn’t be closer to real life challenges in business management and decision making.
Based on authentic scenarios you’ll learn how to identify those who really drive innovations, how to define relevant target groups and finally: how to create new products and services.
Thanks to the cooperation with ICON, we can offer:

  • working with specific real scenario projects
  • a guaranteed internship at ICON for selected students* (in reference to the mandatory internship within the study programmes)
  • an exclusive job offer to work with ICON for those with an excellent degree

Our specifications in future proof areas of Innovation and Games

Our programme Media Management (B.A.) will offer you a deep insight into two possible specifications: Innovation Management and Games Mangement.
The specification Innovation Management will cover (inter alia):

  • Technologies, such as Block Chain, 5G and Internet of Things
  • AI as one oft he most impactful future innovation drivers
  • The „Innovator´s Dilemma“

This specification will be part of a close cooperation with our partner ICON.
The specification Games Management will cover (inter alia):

  • Interactive Storytelling
  • Creative approaches to inherent challenges when developping games
  • Funding and monetarisation models in games, as well as production processes in the games industry

With this specification you will work closely with students in our study programme Game Design (B.Sc.) as well as with our partners in the games industry.

Teaching languages

Media Management (B.A.) is offered in English and German at our campus in Berlin.

In Düsseldorf and Munich the program is run in German.

Why MD.H for foreign students?

Studying Media Management

With this Bachelor programme Media Management (B.A.) you will be well prepared to succeed in exciting and fascinating jobs in the creative industries – in Germany or worldwide. You can decide whether you feel drawn most into the muic industry, in films, or the games industry. Besides that, you have the chance to work for publishing houses or for joining firms dedicated to arts and culture or to the advertising industry.
With the Mediamanagement (B.A.) you will be working at the intersection of creativity and business, such as:

  • In nationally or internationally operating companies that produce or publish film, TV- or streaming products
  • In games development studios or at games publishers (with the specification Games Management)
  • In Start Up-companies developing new technologies and digital business models (with the specification Innovation Management)

In your future job roles you shall be involved in developping and piloting processes in media production, in marketing related activities, or in creating new business strategies within the creative industries.

Cooperating with companies such as Google, Serviceplan, Microsoft, Sky or ProSibenSat1 you will benefit from first hand experience and real time scenarios, and you’ll have the chance to get in touch with your potential future employer.
